Immediate Opening Research and Policy Associate The Consumer Energy Council of America (CECA), the nation's senior consumer-focused public interest energy policy organization, is seeking a full-time staff member to play a lead role in research, and proposal writing. The successful candidate will have excellent research and writing skills, and will be expected to research and write publishable quality papers on pressing energy issues. He/she will work with senior staff members to develop new project proposals, including grant applications, and will establish and maintain relationships with key foundations and grant-making institutions. The Research and Policy Associate will interact with prominent energy leaders from the public and private sectors. The candidate will be expected to assist the senior staff in fundraising for the organization. This position requires a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Must enjoy and be effective working on long-term projects as well as reacting to everyday project needs. The candidate should have a strong interest in public policy. A vibrant sense of humor is essential. Knowledge of the electricity sector and of fuels, including oil, gas, coal, nuclear, and renewable energy resources, is strongly desirable.
